Irākstl

Irākstl, the Goddess of Fire & the Arts, commands devotion from both practical craft workers and the most pretentious performance artists in Ilhdeinia.
Her temples serve largely as performance spaces, often featuring central fire pits used for both metalworking and dramatic productions. I attended a theatrical performance at Irākstl's primary temple in Ārdmery that began as a conventional historical drama before unexpectedly incorporating live metallurgy during the climactic battle scene.
Irākstl's followers believe inspiration represents divine fire made manifest in mortal minds. They reject the concept of creative blocks or artistic limitations, maintaining that uninspired periods merely indicate insufficient devotion to the goddess.
More practically minded followers focus on Irākstl’s association with literal fire, particularly smiths and culinary artists who work directly with flame. These devotees typically maintain small shrines in their workshops featuring perpetually burning candles or oil lamps.
Irākstl devotees should:
- Create art once per decād
- Keep a flame burning in their dwelling
- Never allow creative works to be destroyed
