Lūmynans

Fairies

Researching Lumynan culture proved nearly fatal to my dignity. These tiny, winged folk (averaging 2-3 inches tall) delight in “greeting” outsiders with elaborate pranks. My notepad mysteriously transformed into a colony of butterflies, recoverable only after I performed an impromptu dance to amuse my diminutive hosts.

Brought into existence by both Rīōnne and Denēlia, Lumynans live in communities hidden within flower beds, hollow trees, or unused portions of larger folk’s dwellings. Their homes feature architecture crafted from natural materials, often incorporating living plants trained to grow into desired shapes.

Despite their size, Lumynans possess out-sized personalities and remarkably potent magick focused on illusion and transformation. Living 70-80 years, they maintain protective partnerships with Sylvans who shelter their communities, cautious alliances with Felisyks who might view them as prey or playthings, and employment relationships with Ārdans who appreciate their ability to perform delicate work.

  • Folk Talent - Fairy Dust: Once per Rotation, you may produce magickal dust from your wings. Roll Power. Success allows you to lift or enchant a being/object for 1d4 Rotations.
  • Folk Talent - Impossible Size: Your tiny stature makes you difficult to target. Enemies at Near range take a -1 penalty to all rolls against you, and a -2 at Far.
  • Folk Talent - Flower Portal: You can teleport between flowers of the same type within Far range, emerging from any flower large enough to accommodate your tiny form.
