Gālyntrāns

Gnomes

Called into existence by the goddess Denēlia, these diminutive folk stand waist-high to Ārdans with personalities ranging from boisterous to bookish. While many Galyntrans gravitate toward commerce or mechanical tinkering, I’ve encountered just as many who dedicate themselves to agriculture, particularly truffle cultivation and specialty root vegetables that thrive in their hillside terraces.

Galyntrans bear an innate boundless curiosity and unrelenting practicality. Living 350-500 years, they usually maintain trading partnerships with virtually all races, though they hold special rivalries with Oryzans over craftwork quality, and with Lapynyks over agricultural yields.

  • Folk Talent - Combat Efficiency: During combat, you may move and attack in a single action once per Rotation.
  • Folk Talent - Hidden Pockets: Once per session, you may produce a small, non-magickal item that would reasonably fit in a pocket (a vial of oil, a small tool, etc.) that you hadn't previously mentioned carrying.
  • Folk Talent - Diminutive Stature: Your size makes you difficult to target in combat. When enemies attack you from Near or Far range, they remove one success from their rolled attacks.
