Ekōyks
Bird Folk

I can personally attest that Ekoyks make terrible drinking companions. Not because they’re unpleasant, but because their hollow bones ensure they're floor-bound after half a tankard.
These avian folk, the purported creation of Rīōnne, come in diverse variety, with plumage and temperaments to match, but all share a common love of height, open spaces, and morning hours that I find personally offensive.
When negotiating with Ekoyks, never suggest they're “flighty;” they've heard it before and find it neither original nor amusing. Most varieties live 40-60 years, with some occasionally reaching 75. They usually maintain trading partnerships with Ārdans, mutual defense pacts with Sylvans, and hold ancestral tensions with Felisyks for reasons that should be obvious to anyone familiar with cats.
- Folk Talent - Wings of Escape: When attempting to Dodge in combat, roll with an additional two dice if you have enough space to take flight.
- Folk Talent - Glide: Your wings allow you to glide safely from heights and make impressive leaps. So long as your wings are unhindered, you never take falling damage and can move Far in a single action.
- Folk Talent - Sharp Vision: You can spot details at extreme distances. When making Awareness rolls to notice visual details, you may count both 5s and 6s as successes.
