Orkimans

Orcs

My prejudices about Orkiman culture dissolved after I actually bothered visiting rather than relying on lurid tavern tales. These often green-skinned folk with prominent tusks and impressive musculature (conjured via a deal with Dhȳrōs if you believe the legends) maintain tribal societies in regions others find uninhabitable: arid badlands, dense jungle, or volcanic lowlands.

The stereotype of brutish warlords applies to only a small fraction of actual Orkiman society. Living 50-70 years, Orkimans experience territorial tensions with expanding Ārdan settlements, trading partnerships with Kwīorkimans who serve as cultural intermediaries, and respectful distance from Magnithōrans whose strength they admire but territory they avoid.

  • Folk Talent - Ferocious Critical: When you roll three or more 6s on an attack, double your damage and immediately make another attack against the same target.
  • Folk Talent - Relentless Warrior: When reduced to half your Life Points or below, gain an additional die per lost Life Point to all Might rolls until the end of the Sequence (or until the Unconscious Tribulation is gained).
  • Folk Talent - Battle Howl: Once per Sequence, you can release a fierce war cry that grants all allies within Near range +2 to their next attack roll.
