Ofydiks
Serpent Folk
by
Claudeana Sepenhelm
Called into existence by Reīnstīel, these serpentine humanoids are often scaled with snake-like lower bodies or fully humanoid forms covered in patterned scales.
Their culture places immense value on personal transformation. Ofydiks periodically shed their scales in elaborate ceremonies, each shedding marking passage through life stages with more clarity than any arbitrary age designation. With lifespans of 90-120 years, Ofydiks engage in scholarly exchanges with Sylvans who respect their ancient knowledge, maintain cautious distance from Lapynyks who instinctively fear them, and forge trading partnerships with Ārdans brave enough to establish contact.
- Folk Talent - Venomous Bite: Once per Rotation, you may inject venom with a successful unarmed attack. The target must roll higher on Endurance or gain the Poisoned Tribulation.
- Folk Talent - Flexible Body: Your serpentine physiology grants exceptional flexibility. You can squeeze through any opening large enough for your head and gain a +2 to all Swiftness rolls to escape grapples or restraints.
- Folk Talent - Hypnotic Gaze: Once per Rotation, you can lock eyes with a target within Near range. Roll Power; success imposes the Charmed Tribulation for 1d4 Rotations.
