Sylvans
Elves

These tall, elegant folk with their pointed ears and eerily perfect features maintain the most insular societies in Ilhdeinia.
Said to have been fashioned by Idrāsil himself, Sylvans largely occupy forests where trees have been shaped through centuries of magickal guidance rather than cutting. Their settlements blend so perfectly with natural growth that outsiders might walk through them without realizing they’ve entered a populated area.
Their society operates on timeframes incomprehensible to shorter-lived races: policy debates might span decades, art projects centuries. This perspective makes them simultaneously the wisest counselors and most frustrating allies, as their definition of “urgent” rarely matches anyone else’s. Living 500-600 years, Sylvans maintain guardianship over Lūmynan communities within their forests, hold cautious diplomatic ties with Ārdans whom they view as impulsive children, and maintain ancient agreements with Ārbyrans who share their perspective on natural preservation.
