Kwīumbradans
Half-ghosts

These remarkable folk literally exist in two worlds at once, with one foot in the realm of the living and another in the domain of Ōphīa. A fair few Kwīumbradan come into existence when one twin perishes before birth but merges with its sibling. Some are created when a being dies but returns, marked by their journey through the veil. I’ve also documented cases where devoted ancestral spirits have merged with the last of their bloodline, creating children who carry two souls in one body. Children born to Kwīumbrādan inherit their dual nature roughly half the time, with abilities typically manifesting during puberty.
Despite what you might expect, Ōphīa holds no grudge against these souls who've slipped through her fingers. On the contrary, many Kwīumbrādan serve as her informal agents in the living world, often helping guide lost spirits or tracking down necromancers.
- Folk Talent - Soul Division: You can separate your soul from your physical body as an action. Both forms act independently and should each roll for their place in Combat Flow. Your physical form retains all physical abilities with halved Power and Awareness. Your spectral form can fly, pass through solid objects, and see spirits. These forms can remain separated for a number of Rotations equal to your Power before needing to reunite.
- Folk Talent - Ghostly Possession: Your spectral form can briefly inhabit and control objects or beings. When attempting to possess a being, you must roll Power while they roll Endurance. If you roll more successes than they do, you successfully possess them for a number of Rotations equal to your Power.
- Folk Talent - Sympathetic Resonance: By holding an item important to someone (*living or dead)*, roll Awareness. Each success reveals one significant memory associated with the object.
