Potion Making
by
Finley Vorden
Potion making represents perhaps the most widespread application of Sjōvneva in daily life. The standard method follows what practitioners call the “Three Breaths” approach:
- First Breath: Preparation of base liquid
- Second Breath: Addition of active ingredients while invoking patron deities
- Third Breath: Sealing and activation through final invocation
Each potion’s power correlates directly to the brewer’s relationship with their patron. Two identical recipes followed with equal precision will produce dramatically different results based on the makers’ divine standing.
Common Potions
Below is a list of commonly crafted potions found throughout Ilhdeinia. Each requires specific ingredients, divine alignment, and a proper incantation in Sjōvneva.
