Yāerōnās
by
Finley Vorden
Yāerōnās, the God of Water, the Sea, & Storms, commands deep respect in coastal communities and from anyone who makes their living on water. I learned this lesson in dramatic fashion after carelessly spitting into a harbor while visiting a fishing village in The Fvold. The resulting lecture from an elderly fishwife attracted a supportive crowd who nodded sagely at particularly harsh criticisms of my character.
Sailors are especially devoted to Yāerōnās, maintaining small shrines aboard their vessels and in their homes.
Devotees of Yāerōnās should:
- Carry blessed water at all times
- Learn to swim
- Respect the destructive and nurturing duality of His element
