Magnithōrans

Giants

by

Santagarr Second-Hammer

These massive humanoids, standing three to four times Ārdan height, come in varieties reflecting elemental affinities: Fire Magnithōrans, Ice Magnithōrans, Stone Magnithōrans, and so on.

Forged by Valfǫðr himself, Magnithōrans occupy extreme environments matched to their elemental nature: volcanic regions, glacial fields, or mountain peaks. Their architecture features enormous stone constructions built to last millennia, with interior spaces that make visitors feel like mice in a castle.

Their society places immense value on three virtues: Strength (physical and emotional), Unity (loyalty to tribe), and Craftsmanship (creation of lasting works). Status comes from exemplifying these virtues rather than from birth or wealth. Living 400-600 years, Magnithōrans maintain trading partnerships with Ārdans who covet their elemental crafts, and protection arrangements with smaller races living near their territories.
